I couldn't link to the exact post so I copied and pasted it here. I guess one of her freinds sent it to her via e-mail. You may have already seen it but I laughed my head off.

I guess you could call this warped literary genious:):):)

1. Her face was a perfect oval, like a circle that had its two sides gently compressed by a Thigh Master.

2. His thoughts tumbled in his head, making and breaking alliances like underpants in a dryer without Cling Free.

3. He spoke with the wisdom that can only come from experience, like a guy who went blind because he looked at a solar eclipse without one of those boxes with a pinhole in it and now goes around the country speaking at high schools about the dangers of looking at a solar eclipse without one of those boxes with a pinhole in it.

4. She grew on him like she was a colony of E. coli, and he was room temperature Canadian beef.

5. She had a deep, throaty, genuine laugh, like that sound a dog makes just before it throws up.

6. Her vocabulary was as bad as, like, whatever.

7. He was as tall as a six-foot, three-inch tree.

8. The revelation that his marriage of 30 years had disintegrated because of his wife's infidelity came as a rude shock, like a surcharge at a formerly surcharge-free ATM machine.

9. The little boat gently drifted across the pond exactly the way a bowling ball wouldn't.

10. McBride fell 12 stories, hitting the pavement like a Hefty bag filled with vegetable soup.

11. From the attic came an unearthly howl. The whole scene had an eerie, surreal quality, like when you're on vacation in another city and Jeopardy comes on at 7:00 p.m. instead of 7:30

12. Her hair glistened in the rain like a nose hair after a sneeze.

13. The hailstones leaped from the pavement, just like maggots when you fry them in hot grease.

14. Long separated by cruel fate, the star-crossed lovers raced across the grassy field toward each other like two freight trains, one having left Cleveland at 6:36 p.m. traveling at 55 mph, the other from Topeka at 4:19 p.m. at a speed of 35 mph.

15. They lived in a typical suburban neighborhood with picket fences that resembled Nancy Kerrigan's teeth.

16. John and Mary had never met. They were like two hummingbirds who had also never met.

17. He fell for her like his heart was a mob informant, and she was the East River.

18. Even in his last years, Granddad had a mind like a steel trap, only one that had been left out so long, it had rusted shut.

19. Shots rang out, as shots are wont to do.

20. The plan was simple, like my brother-in-law Phil. But unlike Phil, this plan just might work.

21. The young fighter had a hungry look, the kind you get from not eating for a while.

22. He was as lame as a duck. Not the metaphorical lame duck, either, but a real duck that was actually lame, maybe from stepping on a land mine or something.

24. It was an American tradition, like fathers chasing kids around with power tools.

25. He was deeply in love. When she spoke, he thought he heard bells, as if she were a garbage truck backing up.6littlelambshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03451205935068975048noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-590794699600575874.post-82776578012128704642007-07-14T09:16:00.000-04:002007-07-14T09:16:23.509-04:00Xanga - Weblog EntryXanga - Weblog Entry6littlelambshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03451205935068975048noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-590794699600575874.post-18851747142619832622007-07-06T14:54:00.000-04:002007-07-06T14:55:33.388-04:00Which One?Stephanie over at musings-of-a-mountain-mama@blogspot.com/ had this posted. One of my signature lines has been "I'm learning to praise God in the storm and dance in the rain." So I've been thinking about my dance with God. God has been my sole dance partner for the last five years. It has often been a difficult dance. I'm a strong-willed control freak which means that I like to lead...I want to pick the music, the clothes and what dance we're going to do. BUT GOD. He is such a patient instructor. When I try to lead He gently but firmly holds me closer and takes the lead. I've had my toes stepped on many times. Certainly not because of His ineptness but because of my many missteps. There have been times I've stomped off the dance floor in a huff. Times I couldn't even hear the music because the world was blaring in my ears. Times I thought HE had left the floor because my eyes were too blind to see. BUT GOD. Always there. Patiently waiting for me. Always ready to try again. And what is our style of music??? Well I'd love it to be an elegant waltz, smoothly twirling around the floor, flowing freely. But I'm afraid I'm more of a tango kind of gal...intense, passionate with abrupt starts and stops, spins and dips and a bright red dress. So even though my feet are often bruised and swollen, I passionately love my God. And you know what? I've found that He doesn't mind a tango with me :)6littlelambshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03451205935068975048noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-590794699600575874.post-42397764922710199962006-12-26T06:45:00.000-05:002006-12-26T07:09:20.209-05:00Had a Wonderful Merry ChristmasTruly we did. Except for the curse of the stomach bug. :( Allie got sick Friday. No one got sick Saturday so I was hoping it was just something didn't agree with her. Sunday at mom and dad's I had a headache and that tight feeling you get in your stomach. Went home, took a bath and laid on the couch watching the original Cheaper By The Dozen and Belles On Their Toes(thanks mom!!!). One of the children informed me that Malachi was throwing up...clear across the bedroom carpet, the hallway and into the bathroom. Yuck! That sweet little boy has never thrown up before so he didn't really know what was going on. He said "mama my mouth is pooping" I had to laugh at that one :) Later on I got sick. Felt better yesterday morning but not like eating much which was good for the diet! So three of us down and four to go. Although I won't complain if it skips everyone else but I'm not holding my breath! This reminds me of a few years ago when I was picking the boys up from their dad's on Christmas. He didn't tell me they were sick(thanks!). I had two of them throw up in the car on the way home :( I'd really NOT like to make this a Christmas tradition!

Now to figure out what to do with all the toys. See we live in a two bedroom apartment. It's quite spacious but not spacious enough for a race car track, train track and complete farm set with all the accessories. The farm was put up in the kitchen, taking over my whole floor lol. The train track would probably fit on the dining room table but then where would we eat? ahh the dilemma. I think everyone was pleased with what they got. I know I sure was!! I got a digital camera. Now as soon as I get a battery charger I'll get some pics and post them so I can show off my gorgeous kiddos :)

Laundry is already started today. I need to give the bathroom a good bleaching and get some dishes done before the littlies get up.

Have a good one!6littlelambshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03451205935068975048noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-590794699600575874.post-89883003920687119262006-12-01T11:31:00.000-05:002006-12-01T11:41:53.729-05:00Baby It's Windy OutsideWhen I went to work this morning(2am) it was pouring down rain and about 37 degrees. A little after 8 it had dropped to 34 and started snowing! It's dropped to 29 now, stopped snowing, but the wind sure is blowing! Malachi saw the snow and got out his new snow boots :) He's been dying to wear them. I told him it was too windy to play outside but we did have a few errands to run so he got to wear them. My local senior center was having a $2 bag sale. I decided that since I had to get out anyway, we'd stop there. For $4 I got a long black wool winter coat, two dresses, 2 pairs of bibs and a pair of jeans :D It was mostly "old lady" polyester clothes lol. Then we filled up the gas tank, only $47 instead of the $50 I was planning. Hey I'll take savings anywhere I can! Stopped at the store, had to get coffee and flavored creamer, gotta have priorities you know :) Well I need to go. The fridge needs cleaned out, bathroom needs cleaned and I think it looks like a good day to bake cookies :)

Until next time6littlelambshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03451205935068975048noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-590794699600575874.post-40612821250478109082006-11-01T08:00:00.000-05:002006-11-03T10:44:04.285-05:00Goals for TodayI've been quite slothful this week :( I thought it would help if I list my goals for the day!

Wash sheets DONE
Dust and sweep bedroom
Clean appliances DONE
Clean countertops DONE
Get water from Mom's DONE
Take bags and paper towels to Miss Charlotte DONE
Drop off video and books at the library DONE
Make cold and flu herbal remedy DONE
Make herbal tea
Label videos DONE
Clean cd's DONE

Cold and Flu Remedy
peel and dice 2 onions and 1 garlic bulb(not clove, the whole bulb)
handful of jalapenos
3" piece of ginger chopped

Pack into a mason jar
Cover with Bragg's apple cider vinegar(you want vinegar with the "mother" in it.
